Without watching you play, my first thought is that you need to raise more. My guess is that your starting hand selection is not the greatest, which is causing you to call a lot of hands where you are already behind. Tighten up your starting hand selection, and if you decide to play a hand, raise the pot 4x BB so that you can isolate the table. I am guessing that people are drawing out a lot on you, which is why your win percentage is down. If you are a calling station, you are giving people a chance to hit 2 pair, straight, flush, etc. Be more aggressive on the hands that you play (and hit).

ty after about the 7000th hand and reading this forum along with dorkus saying I don't be aggresively.. I have been winning more hands I think anyways cause of my aggresiveness I have won more pots lately cause of not letting the flush draw or straight draws call on correct odds.. I am folding more hands then normal, cause I do play a lot of the lower limits. I am recently dumping the top pair with high kicker due to the donks who call with a,3 rag and hit 2 pair.. I just wanted to hear opinions which I apppreciate very much and ty to all who do

I don't have any hard figures to base my opinion on, so take it for what it's worth.

I think the fold % seems low, which would tell me that the starting hands you are choosing are weaker, plus the call % is far higher than the bet %, which tells me the same thing. Folding %42 means that you were in %58 of the hands? which is a LOT more than I'm in ( I think ). Not sure if the times you are in the BB seeing the flop for free skews the %, or how much.

Remember when you bet, you gain an extra way to win. FOLD EQUITY ! You can either win the hand outright, or the person folds (and sometimes will fold the better hand), by calling down you have to actually have the best hand. It's best if the other person is the one making the hard decisions.

Effexor, I think you read part of it wrong. Twizzy is not in 58% of the hands. Twizzy sees the flop 32% of the time... and you can't be in a hand if you don't see the flop. The fold % is going to be lower because when you play a hand to the end, it might account for 1 check, 1 call, 2 raises, etc., whereas if you fold pre-flop, it just accounts for 1 fold.

And nobody has mentioned this yet, but the flops seen and hand selection has a lot to do with what type of games one plays. If you play 6 player tables, you're going to look at more flops than at full tables. Which type of games would you say you play the most?

I checked my stats and my raise % is actually ridiculously low, lower than twizzy's even. I don't know... I'm making money and I win a good % of the time, so I guess it's working for me.

PokerStars.

Did I miss where you tell us what kind of game we're talking about? I'm surprised you got any answers at all without knowing that.
