hud stat programs

i have used poker-edge.com software in the past and had wonderful experiences literally playing while barely looking at my cards... just on how people bet and what their bets meant.. it has all types of stats on preflop play post flop and so on....people willingness to put $$ into a pot... so on..does any1 know if these types of programs that compile hand histories and give u stats are allowed on various sites? has any1 had any other interesting experiences using these programs? do people think these are unfair to use or is every1 using them?

btw ive made a post about this and noone has responded so......
has any1 ever used poker-edge.com? it compiles tons of stats from hand histories from the tables that all of its users have open and tells u how your opponents play. i've had great experiences with it and was wondering if any1 had experiences with it. really...i would really suggest that people check it out with the free trial offered... also ive gotten pretty good with it so if people need tips post here or on my other post about poker-edge:

so i saw some other posts putting down data minig programs? what is the problem ..they just compile hand histories into useable stats? Is there an ethical problem with this? I know it isnt allowed with pokerstars but for other sites i dont see y u wouldnt use any advantage u can. I mean voulnt u want to know what % when a player goes all in preflop ,if he is profitable? or on the flop? or on the turn or river? how about what % he raises preflop..or if he did raise preflop what % he will bet on the turn...and if he does what % does he then win on a showdown? I mean its amazing!!! or what % a player will fold to a steal attempt on their BB or SB. or what % of hands he sees the flop on.. Please can we get some comments on this. I am interested in what you all think. It even gives you the stats only of the game type u are playing by game..nl pl or fl... full or short table...buy-in,,tourney or cash.. there are so many options..u can even edit which stats it displays on the table.

here u see that this table has 4 tight players..names in red in the lookup window, there are icon by most players which describe their style of play..shark rock bomb fish exclamation mark mouse...u can get description of these players in the many tutorials from the site.. so u can open a bunch of cash tables till there are lots of green players (loose) to get weak competition..u can actually scout out tables b4 u sit!!

oh also keep in mind this pic was taken on vista where the software isnt fully compatible yet...usually there are stats by each player in addition to the icons...

I dont know why you are not getting lots of responses to this mbelsky, unless i am missing something.
From what i have seen around here in recent times there are plenty of software junkies who usually get pretty animated and excited about this sort of stuff.
Unless they all know something i dont, and more to the point, that you dont.
Maybe they can enlighten us.

I would happily discuss it with you but i dont use software at the moment.

Ill admit to not being a fan of poker tools as such as i find they often distract me from the game itself.

But this one looks interesting and after having a browse around i have downloaded and will give it a go.

i agree regarding most poker tools but most of those just give u stats on yourself...this does that plus gives you SO MUCH INFO on your opponents....


btw if u are using this on a multi table tourney i suggest opening like 5 tables so poker-edge can start compiling stats on all the players on other tables too b4 u face them gl..i hope this helps people.

also be warned...while this works (GREAT) for pokerstars..it is against their terms and while you prob wont get caught ( a few have reported warning emails from Pokerstars..but none have reported being banned or suspended..and this is supposedly from not following poker-edge's instructions on how to start the program) it is still against their terms so isnt suggested for Pokerstars but works for HUNDREDS of sites so try it on your favorites....there is a free trial (a few days i think) OR they give you 3 months free if u let them refer u to bodog or fulltilt (if u dont have an account yet) and u make i think a $50 deposit or even if you had to pay for it (not sure what the monthly fee is) i am very confident the profit it will make u if used properly is definately worth it... seriously ive folded preflop to KK and AA a number of times now with lower to medium pairs based on the player having a very low preflop raise %.
