how where the odds to win
Can anyone tell me if i did something wrong. Happens with pocket aces after a raise and re-raise i went all in and 2 call, 1 player with pocket 6 and the other with Kd-6d. I thought i had the best odds 3 times the 6 where out of the deck so chances on hitting tripps for one would be small.
Is there anyway to avoid this or could you better slowplay the aces. )'% they kill me. |

Yeah in my opinion the best thing to do is to go all in. Everytime i slow play AA someone with a crap hand such as 72 off calls me and ends up catching something. SO the best possible way of avoiding this is to raise all in and eliminate any players with crap hands, assuming that they would not go all in with a crap hand.
good luck to you. i hope i was able to help you out. |

Nothing wrong at all. Pocket A's are a great hand, they are pretty to look at (especially with the A of Spades), but they ARE NOT guaranteed winners. At best, heads-up they are what - 70/30 favorites against any 2 cards. You WILL lose 30% of the time, of course that would be over millions of hands.
When you tally up the heads-up and multi-player hands combined, that average probably falls to about 60/40 or less. All-in preflop? Depends on the table, players, position, etc. Sometimes you'll just steal the blinds and never get value. Other times you'll get 5 callers and 3 of them will beat your rockets. I still prefer to play them as any other premium hand. After all - they are only 2 cards - one pair. If you don't mind betting the farm - and losing the farm - at least 30% of the time, then go all-in preflop every chance you get. |

Well, you are 85% vs. one hand of two random cards, and 72% vs. two random hands. Please people, don't just "make up" percentages. Get some free software like pokerstove at least. Want to know the exact percents for your specific example? Just use one of the many free odds calculators out there (in this case approx., 78% vs 10% vs 9%).
