Hey,
On pokerstars in most 5NL cash games you can buyin up to 12.50, but My bankroll is only 150$, should I still buyin at the max. (which I heared you should usually do) or should I just buyin with 100BB?

buy in for 100BB's and set it to rebuy to 100BB's anytime it goes under

Yes they are deepstack, but at 2NL/5NL there are only tables of this kind , I know they have regular tables in euros tho.

I don't want to be negative but in all your threads you mention that you are fairly new to poker - and I'm wondering why you are playing 5NL.
Sure, your $150 dollar bankroll does give you 30 100BB buy-ins and many would say that that is acceptable bankroll management, but it's not conservative, and if you're just starting out you may well lose a fair number of buy-ins in the initial learning process.
If you lost your $150, what would you do then?, re-deposit and just carry on? re-deposit and drop down to $1/$2, become disillusioned and unwilling to re-deposit? I would hope not.
Some will no doubt think that I am being a BR nit but I would recommend that you play $1/$2 now. You will then have 75 buy-ins with much more scope for possible downswings, and when you see that you are consistently beating it at that level, you will be able to move up confidently with your improved roll and play at higher levels, and still have a higher number of buy-ins.
I don't really see any downside to this approach, there's no rush, is there?

Yes i would have to agree with sam, if your new to poker just start lower and if you win constistantly and bank some $ then move up.

I would say carry on playing 5nl, but as soon as you fall below $100 drop down to 2nl. Def buy in for 100BB, deepstacking is excellent against fish but you need more buy ins before you can. Plus if you do have more buy ins then 10nl is obv better to move to.

As for the FR v 6 max argument, I would say try FR first. Its far less aggressive, if you find you're an aggressive player then 6 max is probably better for you.
