How to play with a marginal stack?

Ok i seem to get this problem alot when playing mtt,i know how to play with a big stack,the averge stack and i know what to do when i drop down to the 10BB zone but what to you do in the 10-20BB zone?


Here´s an example:
Players still in the hand
Chipleader in the cut off 32K tight tricky
Me 7500 been seen as a tight player and only showing down good hands but been card dead for some time now
SB 14K lose passive,likes to see flop and check call all the way to showdown
BB 18K Wild man playing all kind of crap

blinds are at 250-500 50ante(blinds going up next hand) i have a stack of 7500 with the averge stack around 15k, im still in ok shap siting in around 50 place out of 70 with 50 places paying.
I get dealt AKs on the button its folded to the chipleader(around 32K) in the cut off he limps in, my reads on him are that he´s a good tight trickster that likes to check raise and even limp with big hands he haves done that a couple of times and gotin payt but he had to fold what i think whas a big hand a couple a hands earlyer when he let the BB catch up to much. So his range is hard to pin point either he haves suited conectors/small pp looking for a cheap flop or a monster.
Whats my move? If i push all-in i might pick up a nice 1700pot but im worried that the chipleader might be trying some thing tricky and i can also see the BB calling with every thing better then 66+KJ+(witch whould be good).
I could throw in a 3-4BB bet here and test the waters but then i can see the sb,bb calling and chipleader either calling or raising(whats are move if he raises?). Also with the 3-4bb bet and a call if i have to fold post flop i will be in push mode since the blinds are going up to 300-600.
Obvs where not folding but is there any reason to limp also and hide are strength and not bet unless we hit the flop?

Could you guys allso give me some pointers how u whould play the same scenerio with diffrent ranges?

This scenerio happent to me in two MTT last night(obvs. not the exact same but close enough) and i really need some feedback how i should have playt it.

Well, to be honest, you did not provide such a good example here.
This is in fact a 10BB-20BB stack, however, your mzone (stack size to blind ratio) is more or less around 6 or 7. This is considered to be the red zone, and really you are just push shoving here.
A better scenario would probably be same blinds/reads/opponent stack sizes, however your stack size is around 14,000 or so, rather than 7,500 (but we can save that for a later time if you wish to talk about it).
In this given scenario, I am shoving all in. We can pick up that nice pot uncontested, while still giving ourselves a good chance to double up if we get called.
I believe that limping is terrible here mainly because of the fact that we are now letting everyone in this hand see a cheap flop when we are clearly ahead or at least flipping.
We cannot put a range on any of the opponents left to act, so let's not worry about that.
The tall stacked villain is most likely on the ranges that you had said, maybe some paint cards, low suited connectors, and possibly a medium-low pocket pair.
We cannot be worried that our opponent is trying something too tricky unless we have some outstanding reads on villain.
All in all we should be shoving this no matter what. All it really comes down to is our own hand with this short of a stack, and getting our money in with the best of it.

Thanks royal for your answer, and ye aggre i should maby have given a better example and im gonna find the HH(not on this computer) for the two hands that im kinda baseing this post on and post them also for a better anlysis.

And if you whould be so kind to give me your thoughts on how to countinue if i had the 14K stack you where talking about.

The chip leader isn't going to want to let you in cheap if he has AA or KK so at worst your a coin flip in my opinion. I would either see the flop cheap, which I think I would do, or push. Not 3x or 4x bet. if I just call and see the flop if an ace hits then I would excpect to trap the chip leader because i think most likely he has a weak ace or an under pair. bottom line with your stack you either want to see it cheap or put it all in. I dont think either play is the wrong move. If it was 14,000 you had then I would just limp to see the flop looking for that trap. With tricky players your goin to be able to trap them better then your typical ABC player.
