How often to play pocket Suited and Unsuited Connected Cards

How often do you guys play or limp with Unsuited Connectors (7c6h) or High Suited hole cards (K8, Q5 suited)?

Is there a disadvantage to limping as much as possible with these cards?

Right now, I rarely play them but get a feeling I am missing many possible straights/flushes. Any references are appreciated.

If you are talking about full ring then in general just toss them. You probably only want to play them in position (so button/CO) just trying to steal. Limping with crap like 78o and Q5s etc is just going to get you into trouble. Problem is that hands like this can't hit monster draws (both straight/flush possibilities as with something like 87s T8s etc), but can get you semi committed with the 2nd best hand if you flop top pair no kicker.

S/Cs are nice to play because if you hit a decent draw you can raise/reraise etc whereas with o/s connectors you aren't likely to be able to hit a flop hard enough to do the same, which makes them alot harder to play. And as for Q5s etc try not to overrate suited cards...they really aren't good unless you are connected in some way/high cards.

I personally try to limp in as much as possible with off suit connectors but with suited I tend to raise but once again it depends on postion and how many players to a table, and the type of players they are, and also how many are in a hand, so for instance if it's a full 9 ppl talbe, and 3 fold and it comes to me and i'm holding 10/j suited then I'd be inclined to raise just to squeeze out ppl and if they happend to call, then u could always check the river, or big as bet depending on the cards u hit, but then agains I'm also down money (hahah), maybe that's the reason, hope that helps

Like feitr said be especially careful of cards like Q5, K4, etc suited. Not only are the hands not very strong they are very dangerous.

There are more dangers to these hand than just the bad kicker. Lets say you hit your flush draw on the flop, commit some more cash only to make the flush on the river, and then be put all in. You don't have the nuts, what do you do?

I think suited connectors should be played very carefully, and it all depends on position and the table. I don't really like limping with these hands either, I would much rather be in position and raise, then limp. A bad flop for you in reality, can look like a good flop if an Ace comes off and you bet. If you are in position and the other caller does hit, he will probably check the flop to you anyway, and you'll get at least one free card if you do think he hit and don't want to bet.

A lot of people make mistakes with these hands and call for implied odds forgetting that they don't have the nuts. Don't go crazy calling for pot odds because you will be murdered by a suited Ax.

With suited connectors Ten and under, I would try to limp in as much as possible or call a one bet from middle to late position. With position and no raise before me I would raise maybe a 2 or 3 bet and try to show a strong hand. After a weak flop and even with no help to me, if it checks to me I would bet again. I find with these connectors I win allot of huge pots, and steal allot of pots with a conservative table. You'll win allot bigger pots with these then you usually do with AA, KK, AK. After a useless flop and betting before me, of course I just muck them for cheap.
