How loose should your early game BB / SB calls be?
Looking for some opinions, I'm in a tournament at the moment, and I've just be wondering what exactly the correct call is.
#1 first hand, on BB, hold = 78. UTG min raises, 5 callers - me = ? --> I chose to call, because for 20 chips with that many people, if i flop a str8 or set, i figure i can really milk someone good. Correct choice? #2 First level still, on SB hold = 54 4 callers in front of me, limp in 15 chips to see flop? --> I did. The way I've been playing, if the hand is trash i.e. 29, 23, etc, I will not play it no matter what. If there are a LOT of n00b limpers, I will widen up and call more, thinking of implied odds, if the hand has some paint on it (i.e. K5) I will call the SB with not as many people in the pot. Correct? |
