How to get the best out of FPP on Pokerstars!!!

Hi all.

Quick question.

FPP`s. When you use them would u do the same as u would with your bankroll - e.g. only enter MTT sats for say 5% of your total FPP `bankroll`?

I ask this question because I have not been playing much on Pokerstars recently, have use up most of my FPP and I`m only left with 2,000 ish

I`m gonna have a blast at the £2 million turbo takedown as suggested by 4aces07 in this post $2,000,000 turbo takedown on Stars.

No, I don't use normal BR criteria when I'm using up loyalty points...

So does that literally mean if u had say 2k worth of loyalty chips u would throw them all in to one sat ?

I say this because for the tourny I mentioned I was thinking of playing 2 x 1000 buy in sit and goes - pays one place in 10, single table of 10.

I asked this question yesterday in another thread but it was pretty well finished so I'm not sure how many saw it. Anyway, how many FPPs would you expect to earn in 1000 hands at NL25? I'm trying to see how Stars point system compares to FT with rakeback.

As to the question of playing tourneys that are outside of you bankroll with points: I'll use them to play in tourneys that I do not have the bankroll to otherwise play.

Yeah I've been contemplating this one lately as well.

The satellites/direct buy-ins are definitely attractive but more often than not will result in well..nothing.

I haven't spent any of my fpp's there yet as I haven't decided what I want to do. I might just save up for a TV or computer monitor (or maybe an ipod touch ). The cash bonuses probably are the worst deal prior to the highest of the VIP levels (platinum+)...but then..cash is hard to say no to.

I've cleared about 12000 fpp's since late december on pokerstars although I probably play there more than alot of people. I made Goldstar at $25NL in January, so the FPPs are really rolling in this month.

I don't have a lot of fpp's so I'm doing the smallest sats I can find.

Really can't think of a whole lot else I can use them for.......

Not sure how many FPP's, but here's my reckoning:

I play 50nl 6max, 1000 hands will usually give me 220 ish Vpp's. I'm at Goldstar status which earns me double the rate of FPP's. So 1000 hands at 50nl will earn approx 440 Fpp's.

If your playing FR 25nl expect this to be a little less than of 440, I dunno maybe 200 or so.

I'm sure Zach could give you a more accurate figure as he plays a lot of 25nl.

So what would the cash equivalent of 200 FPP be?

There's no real easy answer to that b/c the more fpp's you earn, effectively they increase in value. For example,

You can cash in 5000 fpp's and earn a $50 bonus.

25,000 can earn you a bonus of $285.

50,000 can earn you a bonus of $650.

100,000 can earn you $1500.

100,000 can earn you $1500.
So at the highest levels (best return) they have a cash value of 1.5 cents / point. So if we assume 200 FPPs per 1000 hands at NL25 about $3 per 1000 hands.

One more question: Is that cash paid out as bonus that must be cleared?

1FPP = roughly 1.6 cents

The bonuses must be cleared so you can't really apply an exact value per FPP based on them. Either way it's only .1 cent off, but you get the idea
