How do you use your tracker effectively?

Guys, Im just curious on how do you use your pokertracker effectively? like AFP, VPIP, PFR. It seems that I dont understand too much and use it effectively. Any advice/input would be really appreciated. TY

You use the stats to determine what sort of hands they play, and how they play in various situations. You're basically putting them on a range of possible hands.

If someone has 50/4/.8 stats (voluntarily puts $ into pot/pre-flop raise/aggression factor) and he limps in ahead of you, your K/T is probably the best hand and you can raise him.
If that same guy raises, be very careful because he's only raising with premium hands.
And if that guy bets the flop, he probably has a pair or better as he's not one to bet with air.

Or if the stats show that a guy 3-bets a lot you can 4-bet bluff him and take down a good pot.
Or if a guy c-bets a lot you can check/raise him as a bluff.

Those stats are an accurate way to see how he has played, so you can make educated estimates about how he's playing now and exploit it.

I can't seem to get my pokertracker's hud to display... weird...

Today my PT HUD is opening on one of the three tables, then shutting down a few seconds later - weird!

Every 50k hands or so I like to sort my hem stats by starting hand by position and look at my results. If I find I am losing with a particular hand, say AJo UTG, I'll look at the way I played each of those hands to see what I could have done better or possibly remove that hand from my starting range if I decide it's too weak.

Have you got the latest update? There was one only a couple of days ago.

Also, just in case you didn't know, there are a couple of new HUD Layouts for it in the 'get more' section on the site.

If you haven't tried them, may be well worth a go.

Don't think you can modify the HUD during the trial period, but thanks anyway.
