how do you play a major mtt

just want to know if anyone plays by the levels.

when i watch TV, they say that you gotta play different depending on were you are in the tournie.

early, you gotta build a stack,
middle you gotta build for position,
end , and mainly final table, you got to play to eliminate/or survive.

like ive said before, im new to this game, and i want to go far with it.

big dream is to be in a hand live VS Doyle B, win or lose, it would be a life long dream.

that is a good plan but the big thing is when building a stack early don't try to force it. I get in trouble doing that sometimes. I mean if you are catching cold cards just sit around a wait and hopefully you will get a mini rush when the blinds are higher to jump right back into it.
