| How do I play multiway pots at .05/.10? I don't understand how I'm supposed to play these multiway pots when the limpers can't be driven out. Situation: I'm in the bb and get AhKh. 3 limpers and the sb fills and I raise it to .70 (7xbb). I get 3 callers. Pot is $2.10. Flop comes 7cKd5d. Its check around to me and I bet $1. 2 drop out so it's finally heads up. Turn comes Kc and I figure he's missed his diamond draw and fire another another $2. He calls. River comes 8s and I figure there's nothing he can have. I put him all in and he calls. He turns over the 4c6c and has me beat with a straight. Very next hand same type situation, I'm AJo, flop comes AJ7 rainbow. Turn and river 89. I'm firing 1/2 pot bets the whole way, he's calling and he shows a 5d6d. Beats me with a straight. It seems like every time I get decent cards there are 3-4 callers with a 3xbb bet. Am I missing something? |

| Suited connectors and one gappers suited are great hands to play in multiway pots, even where there has been a good raise. Loose aggressive players will even raise with these in late position and come out firing after the flop when its almost impossible to put them on a hand. You will come up against this in low limit ring games and small buyin tourneys. Even the pros like Hanson and Ivey play these hands. Seems like you ran into that awful predicament, a premium hand out of position. By the river it didn't matter whether you checked or bet, even if you had spotted the straight draw, which you didn't. |

| Does anybody know where I can find an odds analysis on multiway pots? Ex: show odds of running up against trips, 2 pair and straight draws analyzed both by everybody limping in and also against 3xbb raise. I'm wondering what the stats are for how often TPTK is a winner. |

Most people dont fold straight or flush draws at 10nl no matter how bad a price there geting, hence we want to bet the pot every street to get maximum value with our strong hands. |
