| Holdem Manager Filters I am looking to improve my cash game and was interested in what filters I should run when analysing my game away from the tables and what I should be looking for when I run those filters. I'm primarily looking at preflop as I think that massive leaks could be found there first. Playing Rush poker at the moment but looking to get back into normal (non crack poker) and would like to retool/analyse my game before I do. So, what do kind of filters do you run and what do you look for when you run these filters. |

When playing hands think of questions Do I make money calling or raising limped pots? IS there an amount of limper's that its pointless to raise? If EP raises and I call on the button, the flop is checked to me and then I bet does this usually get a fold? If EP raises and I call with a "speculative hand" do I actually show a profit? Are certain "speculative hands" more profitable than others.. what would my winrate be if I just stopped calling with the pointless ones? etc etc then filter the last 50-100K hands. You will now get answers to your questions. Use those answers logically, usually if something loses you money you probably want to be doing less of it and if something makes you money you might want to look for more spots to do it in. |

The smaller the sample size the less accurate the information gleaned from it. Big holes in your game should be relatively easy to spot but smaller holes will require much larger samples. |

| If trying to find a specific hand...i usually click on "sessions" and than go through all the hands in each session i played..sorting by most money lost and than look at the hand replayer....also make sure that you click on show all instead of last 100 |

| Thank You Stu! That is precisely what I had been wanting all along but had never found that filter. I've only being using HEM for a couple months now so learning as I go. I found it amazing that they wouldn't have some sort of date filter just like that. I had not yet thought to click on the "ALL HANDS" button at the top (Duh!). Read your post and then spent 5 min searching all over till I stumbled upon it. Thanks again for the help. |

I would recommend spending a few hours exploring all the things you can do with HEM. Browse their forums and check out some of the info they provide you with in the manual etc. If you have only just found the number of hands filter I'm sure you'll be amazed at what else it can do!! |
