what are the odds of getting dealt one? What are the odds of it being good? Playing 3 handed compared to 9 handed, the odds of a PP, Ace high, etc get better? Thats why when you get down to less people your supposed to loosen your starting hand requirments.

My bad, I phrased it really wrong, I was having a hard time explaining to someone that your chances of winning with a pocket pair is greatly deminished when two other people are all in preflop. I didn't mean 3 handed, I completely screwed up with my ?, sorry Dorkus. Do you understand what I'm getting at now?

re: Hey Dorkus poker Ok I did a bunch of calculations using one of the texas holdem calculators, and from what I noticed is this: Any 2 LIVE cards, unsuited, like 93 off, 72 off etc. have about a 10 to 12 percent chance to win against pocket aces. For every random hand that has 2 live cards the chance that the pocket aces will hold up drops by the same amount, ie. 10 to 12%. 2 examples: AA vs 93 offsuit AA 87% 93 12% AA vs 93o vs 72o AA 75% 93 12% 72 12% Suits come into play obviously, against suited cards: AA vs 93 suited AA 82% 93 17% AcAs vs 93d vs 72h AA 67% 93 17% 72 16% Hope that helps.

Depends if we're talking AA, 88, or 22 here. Depends on the situation too (especially if in a tourney), in other words on what range of hands your opponents are likely to have. It's pretty impossible to give even an estimate at an answer at the moment.
