Help - Calling with Top Pair I was in a 2/3 NL live game in late position. There was a $12 raise in front of me. One other called, and then I called with AK off. The flop came k 10 4 with 2 hearts. The raiser bet $20, the next to act raised to $60. I called and the initial raiser folded. Flop came a 2 clubs. The big raiser bet $60 again...I folded. Should I have called the initial $60 bet?

This all changes a lot based on reads, knowing who's too tight or too loose is enough to completely change this. I'm just going to assume they're unknowns. Assuming 100bb stacks (or less), I'm happy to stack top pair top kicker against unknowns in a live 2/3 game simply because they are usually too loose, in this hand having UTG donating $32 to the pot has inflated it nicely and it's going to be rare that folding TPTK will be the right play. The flop call is fine because your hand is under represented since no one 3bet pre-flop. The turn bet is really small, $60 into $170, assuming $300 stacks just push here, you're only going to make it another $168 for him to call. I wouldn't call because it's very possible he has a draw here and I don't want him to see a river and check-fold if he misses and value bet if he hits. The pot is also bigger than the stacks, so just shove.

Thanks! I was think that that was what I should have done. From the action after that hand, I saw that he was raising with bottom pairs. He had a huge stack, and I only started with 200. He claimed he had 2 pair...but I will never know...Do you think I should have re-raised pre flop?
