Help with Bankroll Management! So I put $40 into FullTilt, this is the third time I've but money on, losing the other 2 times. Well, I had a good first week playing cash games and now im at $140. I've never had this much, so I'm not sure what to do. What stakes should I be playing, should I be playing SnG's or other tournies?

Well done on the BR,What blinds are you playing at the moment? If you are following BRM and you are playing .01/.02($2nl)then your BR should be 30 buyins. You said that you have already bought in twice on FT and this is your third time. You heve been playing for 1 week and you now have $140 which is great. I dont know what blinds you have been playing but i would stick to the 30 buyins and if u drop below that buy 1 buy in then drop down in blinds.1 week of winning will not give u a good reflection on your poker skills and remember the higher u go in blinds the hearder it gets so u must be comfortable at what stakes u play. There is nothing wrong playing $2/$5 nl will $140BR.as long as u are a winning player. If you follow the BRM then you have 28 buyins on .02/.05 which is great.may be play there and if u drop to 25 buyins drop a level.U must not be playing above .02/.05. Good luck Lazmansa

I'd stay right where you are, its working and well, and you may just be on a winning streak, and would suck to raise limits then have a bad week. i have lost too many bankrolls (and quickly) raising the stakes, stay comfortable, maybe play 1 table or tourny with higher buyins and see how it goes, but bankroll is important- value it- or you may have to deposit 40 more gl

re: Help with Bankroll Management! poker well im at $250 right now so im happy. I've actually been playing .25/.5 blinds, I know this is probably to high but I haven't had a losing session yet playing it and I don't seem to play as well on lower stakes cause I lose attention as in my mind I'm like "why not call, it's only 3 dollars and I have 250". Maybe after I have a losing session or two I'll drop down to .05/.10

Yeah, higher stakes make you focus more. I don't think I take .10/.05 as seriously as I do .50/.25. At 140, if you were confident in your abilities, I wouldn't blame you if you played .25/.10. If you go by the strict 30 buy in BR advice I think it could take forever to build up a bankroll if you're at a smaller amount. The pots at the micro-micros are often like a $1 with a 70% viewed flop rate. At $250 I would aim at .25/.10 but bump up to 50NL if you see a really good table. Just keep variance in mind.
