Can anybody advise me wether or not I should have played pocket Aces any different please?

But to tell you the truth, I wouldn't have. I'd have played the pre-flop just as you did. Second, your bet after the flop was a little too large, seeing a pair. But you'd have to wonder why this guy is calling your huge raise. You might have put him on a pair lower than aces but higher than 8s, but.... You probably should not have kept raising after his 1st post-flop call. Even a single 6 in his hole has you beat. Tough one.

That flop bet is way too BIG, 3-1/2 times the pot size. A pot-sized bet of $30 would have given you the same information much more cheaply. You may have still ended up putting all your chips in by the river, but you also may have been able to get away from this for only half your chips if you were re-raised on the flop, turn or river.
AA's can be such a landmine. BANG! Wasn't expecting that.
