u gotta play ur opponent. if theyre hyper agressive then pick ur spots well and let them hang themselves. if theyre really tight. bet often but not every chance you get so they believe somewhat that when u are betting u have a little something. follow this and u wont do to bad. works well for me

I love to play heads up. It is the a true sign of skill in my opinion. I agree that you must play your opponent. An aggressive style is key, however, you need to customize it to how your opponent plays. No one strategy will work. Passive players needed to be bet into, aggressive players need to be trapped, and there is always a mix of the two. Good Luck playing!

re: heads up poker

I played heads up only for a couple of weeks and turned my last $5 into about $200 I was playing good, making great decision and softening up my opponents nicely. Then I started playing scared and at the same time was suffering at the hands of badbeats and went on a little bit of tilt so I took a break from it .

One thing I would suggest while playing headsup is switch off the chat screen this might put you on tilt especially if you are playing some smacktalking donktard and you can't get a hand to fight back at his overplayed middle pair. A great suggestion I am reading here is to slowplay big hands to soften up the maniacs as much as possible I should do it more often I think I stopped doing it.

I agree with jammerthon, I turned $29 into over $300 playing heads up. I was on a good streak for the first 2 months, then starting running bad and didn't help the situation by just pushing all in alot. With heads up you need to stay focused at all times, take breaks when you start to tilt and play smart. GL
