He bets $48, I raise to $96 he shoves and I call for another $400
He has Kd,Jc and hits the K on the turn

3bets often, every once in awhile, aggressive, passive, raises often on button, rarely?

Yes, he is very aggressive. He shoved all in w/ 2nd pair and Ace kicker (I won that one).

Even so, now that I think about it, it wasn't a good call. I doubt anybody would bluff all in at a pot w/ a suited board. I guess I knew that he would be on a flush draw. I just got unlucky that he hit two pair.

I think I need to slow it down a bit, I'll probably hit AC tomorrow and relax a bit.

I agree I would muck after the all-in flop, although it is a close decision.

You can assume he has you beat here, and if he does you have no outs, if he doesn't he most likely has plenty. He doesn't shove here with absolute garbage.

Bet-fold pre-flop, imo.

In order to justify the extra money for the call you have to be willing to play a big pot, or willing to bluff a lot. The A is dirty as hell in a 3bet pot because AQ/AK is going to show up a lot if lots of chips go in post-flop, the J is as clean as it's going to get but that's ignoring the times when the J is middle pair or something and forces you to pot control.
As for bluffing, if you're going to do that post-flop, I'd rather you 4bet bluffed pre-flop.

3bet ranges in HU matches should be a heckuva lot wider, I don't play much HU, but I think (someone correct me if I'm wrong) that it's standard to flat the 3bet w AJo. Reads are very important, of course, but if Villain is aggressive and good, his 3bet range even oop ought to be substantial, like 10%+ (again, I may be wrong about that).

Suits aren't given, but I'm assuming Hero doesn't have a diamond - even if that's the case, with the actual hands we're a slight favorite on the flop. I'm not familiar enough w HU to know how often an agg Villain stacks off w bare flush draws and worse pairs to say how we're doing against his overall range, but we're not in bad shape against his actual hand.

if he"s agressive he"s def. going to have a wider range of hands, but with this type of flop and his betting actions, he has more of a polorized range. i would not put him on pocket 4's bc although he"s lag, he"s prob. not insane to 3bet with 4's. would not put him on JT because this type of hand is likely to make a top pair hand that will loose money,and you can safely assume he"s not 3betting with JT. pocket tens is a possibility, and high pocket pair. he could very well have a medium pair in the hole, or total air. i would have polorized his range to QQ+ with the shove. with the jack on that board, i would not feel to good about stacking with TPTK, although like i said, there not much room there in his range to beat you. i would put him on a very strong hand or total air. over all though, i would have folded and waited to see what he is going to show down with, and then you can imploy strategy to exploit him. note though there is a good chance givin the action he has a flush with the shove, and i like the raise on the flop by you but you should have folded to the shove. also i like his shove bc although risky, it will fold alot of TP here, as well as medium pairs, but im not quite sure if he was three betting for fold equity there, because from the looks, he didn"t have much but he did have outs, and you didn't.

Lot's of times I three bet pre-flop he would fold. I definitely think that was the right move as he tried to pick up pots fairly regularly.
