If you really want to learn NL hold'em there's only one book I'd recommend to really teach you the game. Small Stakes NLHE by Ed Miller, Sunny Mehta, and Matt Flynn. It's on sale right now for $65. This is more expensive than most books you can buy from amazon, but I am not kidding when I tell you this book is worth way more. I bought it for $100 and it was EASILY worth the price. No other book I've ever read has been this good period. I've read most of them too btw. I have a pretty extensive poker library, so I have some perspective.

re: Good Books for Learning NL Holdem poker Are you looking to play cash or tournaments? Can't go wrong with Harrington on Holdem for tournaments, all three volumes are solid. I have heard good things about Kill Phil and Kill Everyone, but have not read them myself.

re: Good Books for Learning NL Holdem poker My recommendation would be Sklansky & Miller: NLHE - Theory & Practice. This books covers the basics as well as some advanced strategies. What I like most is, that it makes you think about plays and situation more than giving general advice how to handle them. This is why I think it helps a lot to develop your game.
