Going all-in short stacked on a flush draw.

It seems every time i'm short stacked and on a flush draw after the flop, I ALWAYS miss.

For example ( i'm on another computer so i cant copy the hand history ).

9$ SnG, blinds 80/160, 5 people left. I was BB with Ah2h, button calls, SB calls. My stack is around 850, whereas the button's stack is around 4000 and the SB had around 2500, so i did not want to push preflop.

FLop came with 2 hearts. SB bets 160, i think about it, then push all of my chips. And jokingly told him to call because i always miss my flush draws.
He called and i missed.....

Is it a bad move to move all-in with flush draws being shortstacked ?, It never works for me.

Yup push preflop. Button limped but didn't raise, so he probably doesnt have a pair or a big ace. And suited ace 2 is in the top 30% of all hands.

^^this. At the current blind levels, you're close to desperation mode, and this may be your best chance. Any suited ace is good enough for your purposes, esp. in an unraised pot. A preflop push stands a chance of stealing a pot against 2 faurly average stacks, and that alone buys you a little extra life.

You are 5 BB...this is as good as it may get, with 11 out your chance of hitting close to even money...push

Yes, because you are so short and running out of time, you were correct to push on the flop. You are 2:1 dog to hit so you will of course lose 2/3 of the time.

And as already said, preflop push was the better option. The SB might have folded and you would have won the blinds and the button limp.

I did not to push because i was sure the big stack would have called me so i decided to wait for the flop and hope for some good cards or an A.

Since you didn't hit and still pushed after the flop, you should have gone all in preflop. just my opinion. I am also rethinking this for myself. I have been in your position and I will push on the flop, I started to push preflop in this position and have had better luck.

Well, you could sit it out till the blinds eat you up.

In the red zone, 'M' way low, you don't need any justification for shoving. 96 off may have a special place because once in the bb you got checked and flopped a boat. Good enough reason.......

You may have a wee bit of flexibility over just which off brand hand you want to shove, but really, are you waiting for Suited Aces?

A2s has 38% equity against two random hands = push with an M of 3. Also, telling your hand is stupid. Give a chance to villain to fold before seeing if the flop hits him or not.
