Giving HUD a Shot. Just DL PT3.

So Ive been playing online for about 4-5 months now and over and over seeing people talking about 15/7 this and 21/19 that, VPIP% this and PFR that. So today I decided.... Thats it Im DL for myself. If there is a way to increase my edge... I want it! So I went and got the trial version. After several (45) head scratching minutes I have Ultimatebet Absolute Poker PS & FT (LOL) on auto-import.

I know that alot is posted about the set-up of this thing. Actually Ive already read a few posts on here and at the PT3 forums. But if there is anything that you feel like you think I should know or just want to throw your $.02¢ in, Id like to hear it.

One thing that would be cool is a link to some HUD stat meanings and how to decipher them. I mean I know what VPIP% is but how do I know what is loose and what is tight. Obviously the lower the number the tighter on this stat, maybe a bad example but you proly get where Im going.

Thanks in advance for any info!

I didn't find the HUD too useful as I was still relying on my own reads more. But I came across this and think it's useful:

Thanks Guys!!!

One thing Im already amazed by is how much freakin rake Im paying!

On a $1 and some change split pot we both payed .9¢ rake. WTF? I never realized.

On a side note I just took 3 BRUTALLY Bad Beats on 3 of 4 tables I had up in 2 minutes time. Set over Set. AA cracked and mt nut flush met a full house. WOW.

Been using the PT3 for a long time and my understanding keeps growing.

Have recently added more and more HUD stats; give me a great record on the regs and help with the tourists. Nuff said.

Yeah I can definately already see why this would be such a valuble tool. Obviously poker is really situational but this helps with every detail.

***QUESTION!

1.)
Does it combine past info it has on players along with their current play? So I can see the stats I have on all of the hands on a particular player?

Thoughts on this?

ALSO is there a way to maybe pull up other tourney tables late in an MTT to start gathering stats on other players b4 the final table?

Thanks again for any input.

Yes, it displays the stats on all of your observed hands for a particular player. So if you played with a guy a month ago, you will see those old stats on him if you happen to sit with him again. I've sat with plenty of people I don't remember ever playing, yet have hands on.

As for watching other tables...
That is data mining and is not allowed on websites. However, I believe that PokerTracker 3 will watch and record up to 30 hands at other tables on PokerStars. After 30 hands you have to wait 30 minutes and restart PokerTracker before it will import another 30.
