Getting the most out of a value bet
Lets make my first post interesting.
Scenario: SNG, 6 players left with blinds 50/100 everyone is holding almost the same stack around 2500 You're holding AK and all 5 community cards have been dealt giving you 2 pair. For the sake of the question lets say that you have no reads throughout the tournament and for this hand. What type of bet would you make to maximize your value? 1/3 of the pot, 2/3 as a value bet? my major concern is what type of bet will allow you to receive calls from 1 pair hands and 2 pair hands while at the same time lose the less if you are called/raised by a better hand such as a set or flush etc. I have read up on expected value and i believe this eludes to that topic. |

I think the question itself has good value, but at the same time you need to include more information on how we got to the river (PF raises/re-raises etc, flop texture...). In turn this will answer what hands should be left and where we are going to get our best value.
