| Getting the most out of sweat sessions. Hey guys, My poker study group and I will often try to get together for sweat sessions. At first I was like, this will be cool and ill probably learn a lot. However, while I do learn some, I feel that sweats often are just us watching the other person, see a hand worth discussing, then try and talk about it but either one or both of the following happen: 1)Time bank starts ticking and the person has to make a decision quick. 2)Another table pops up with another hand we need to discuss. This obviously hinders the learning process because we can never really come to a good conclusion or have a good discussion. Because of this, recently I've suggested we do session analyses since we can pause on hands and actually get something out of it. Are we missing something or is this how sweat sessions usually go? |

| Honestly I have no answers for you as I have never done a sweat session. But I do think this is an interesting topic, and since I do have a sweat or two lined up in the near future It would be good to know how a successful sweat goes. I'm guessing it would help to stick to one table at a time so that no other tables pop-up and cut into the analysis, which will also let those involved focus more on one game/subject. But again, I don't really know. |

| I find it better to review hands in PT3 or for one person to record a session and then do the sweat watching it. This lets you pause and talk all you want. You kind of have to be lucky with live sweats. Also I generally try not to talk about a hand until it is finished. |

| re: Getting the most out of sweat sessions. poker alright, maybe you guys can suggest a card replayer. see the problem is that i play on Entraction Network, i send my session to Bgomez89 and he can't replay them. he will tell you what replayer he has. maybe you can suggest a better one. we don't always play at the same time, we hardly see each other on skype, so we need to find a way for the others to review the HH. also, i would like to record a live session of mine and post it on cardschat for review. so what program should i use to record it? |

Can you not send the hh to him and he imports it into his hem/pt, select your sn and play through your hands as he would with his own? |

| re: Getting the most out of sweat sessions. poker Not at my machine but probably something like database management, that'll open up the postgres connection box where you log in, then once in there there's a bit to create a new db, create one and then load it in pt? |

New (Give it a name) Create. Ok. Close. Database > Set Active Database > New Db name Now just import the new hands and you're good to go. |
