Cap games suck IMO as you want to be playing for stacks against fish and your basically all short stacked. Other than that play normal I guess theres no special trick to them.

Its a SS game with very little preflop fold equity.

So play big pairs, AK,,AQ (premium hands really) and shove TP / over-pairs on the flop.

Your edge is that its a SS game, but at the micros most players do not realise they are playing a SS game and therefore open with all sorts of hands which require deeper stacks to be effective. i.e suited connecters, small PP JTo etc etc.

What he ^^ said.

I've played around on the micro tables occassionally and found the CAP tables to be particularly loose,.... often seeing players on looser ranges, willing to shove it in with A-9o+, 55+.

+1 - the cap games are great for playing tight and getting weaker hands to shove a stack against your premium holdings. Also, if you're a variance nit, it'll stop you from shoving with your own weak ones, hah.

re: Full tilt .02/.05 full ring cap game strategy poker

I play 6max cap so for full ring I suppose you have to be alittle tighter. I would say stick w/ midpairs (like 77+) and higher, and big broadway hands that have little chance of being dominated (probably fold KJ and worse unless you're stealing from late position, I'd play KQ+ in middle position and later). I would scrap the small pairs and suited connectors unless you can get in cheap, preferably in multiway pots. Since most hands are raised online, that probably won't happen too often. So I guess what I'm trying to say is that you should play pretty tight and don't play the speculative small pairs and suited connectors generally, because you have no implied odds.

Tight aggressive style. Change up your play and you should go up about 5 dollars and hour. Timely folds are key though. A good fold is as good as a good call.
