| Following fish to higher stakes Now you run into alot of fish at 10NL but this one in particular didnt seem to have a fold button period lol. He badly lost 2 buy ins in close succession then left.... I did a player search and notice hes moved to a 100NL table sitting with a 70bb stack lol. Shame I wasnt rolled to play there....So obviously I didnt even consider sitting down. Is this quite common for these whales to jump up in stakes with a growing waiting list of people in hot pursuit? |

| It is quite common for gamblers to chase losses. If a fish has lost at a low stakes table, he is trying to win them back on the higher stakes table, even if not rolled for it. I stay within my BRM so I don't chase them, but I have a buddy that does lol. |

That's weird that a poker player would deceive another poker player like that I have a bunch of friends who do this actually.. the results for the follower are usually quite painful. Remember two credo's: 1) there's no such thing as a free lunch. 2) The biggest problem "gamblers" make is that they often eat like birds, and poop like elephants.. |

| I took a guy for 4 BI at 10PLO. He left and sat a 50PLO HU table, sadly by time I searched the guys SN and opened the table someone had taken the seat opp to him. This fish went onto lose almost 17BI at 50PLO in 2 hrs after telling the other guy to play at least 4 tables simultaneously or he'd leave. I was so pissed off, I even had 22BI for 50PLO at that point (not that its enough but still). Golden opportunity missed. |

It seems clever to some degree but I can't imagine very many people following someone from a different table to another one espically because most wont have time to search this particular player. Would it really be worth the hassel of a good player to do that? For one, most micro players playing 5nl/10nl woulden't dream of moving up when they are dominating a table they are currently at. |

| re: Following fish to higher stakes poker IMO, there's a difference between stakes and aggression levels so plays that work well at a higher level could be overly aggressive or spewy at a lower level. Then again the guy could just be a fish, but I know that when I go to lower stakes I'll sometimes be too aggressive and it can backfire. |
