Hello again dear poker addicts
![]() I wanna discuss one tactic that I often use playing NLHE. Let's say I was dealt something like Ac Tc and I raise minimum somewhere in late possition, big/both blinds call. Board goes something like: Flop: 2c 7c Jh So now we have 6BB with 3 callers, i manage to bully bet half or 3/4 of the pot. Now if I get reraised I manage sometimes call or rebluff oponnent and hope that club hits. It depends on my stack/opponent. If i'm short and opponent is pretty solid and/or reraise is too big it's autofold. Here now what's happens when one opponent calls. Now it's bout 12BB pot. Lets say dealing turn you got your flush on turn dealing: Kc. I always check in this spot, trying to represent 'fear and weakness' of my hand. Sometimes opponents hittin J or even 2 pair fall for this and bet hard. I call. And if nothing goes wrong I take down huge pot. Of course opponent can check to you. I try to check to any river 'rerepresenting' weakness and wait for opponent bet and reraise 2-3 times his bet. But let's say you don't get the Kc, and instead you get Kh. At this point I try to dodge again and see what opponent does. Same idea if he raraises you at this point. If he fold you simply outplayed him. And if he calls you get your remaining let's say Tc. I check to him, and hope for a bet. This works 4/5 times and pays out if opponent has hit something or he's fishin and u get good amount of chips. Now the interesting part: if he calls you all the way and you don't hit nothing. Let's say say board is: 2c 7c Jh Kh 2d. What's the best point here, dodge again and hard which I do most often with big big bet or check and hope for a miracle? And in general what can you say about this "semibluffing tactics"? |
