Flush chaser triumphs

Full Tilt Poker - No Limit Hold'em Cash Game - $0.05/$0.10 Blinds - 5 Players - (LegoPoker Hand History Converter)

SB: $8.75
BB: $10.15
UTG: $14.80
CO: $32.15
Hero (BTN): $13.70

Preflop: Hero is dealt 7:spade: K:spade: (5 Players)
2 folds, Hero calls $0.10, SB calls $0.05, BB checks

Flop: ($0.30) 7:diamond: K:diamond: 5:club: (3 Players)
SB checks, BB checks, Hero bets $0.20, SB folds, BB calls $0.20

Turn: ($0.70) 7:diamond: K:diamond: 5:club: 2:heart: (2 Players)
BB checks, Hero bets $0.40, BB calls $0.40

River: ($1.50) 7:diamond: K:diamond: 5:club: 2:heart: Q:diamond: (2 Players)
BB bets $1.80, Hero calls $1.80

Pot Size: $5.10 ($0.50 Rake)

BB had A:diamond: 6:diamond: (a flush, Ace high) and WON (+$2.10)
Hero had 7:spade: K:spade: (two pair, Kings and Sevens) and LOST (-$2.50)

Just bet more so he won't chase? Is there anything I should do to maximize value when I hit 2 pair? I didn't want to bet him out of the pot with that hand, but it sucks he hit his flush.

I always chase also, especially if I have the nut draw from the flop, with no pair showing. It seems that I hit more often than not, but when I don`t it usually costs me the game.

You should fold on the river. It's quite obvious you're behind at this point. Also make at least a pot sized bet on the turn. Now he's getting 2.5 to 1 odds and you're giving him great implied odds.

why are you limping the button with K7? Should be raising or folding.

Flop: ($0.30) 7:diamond: K:diamond: 5:club: (3 Players)
SB checks, BB checks, Hero bets $0.20, SB folds, BB calls $0.20

.30 in pot so betting 2/3 of pot is ok

Turn: ($0.70) 7:diamond: K:diamond: 5:club: 2:heart: (2 Players)
BB checks, Hero bets $0.40, BB calls $0.40

ok now there is .70 in the pot so I think you need to bet a little more. You can put him on some kind of draw and only draw out is a flush draw.

River: ($1.50) 7:diamond: K:diamond: 5:club: 2:heart: Q:diamond: (2 Players)
BB bets $1.80, Hero calls $1.80

he overbet the pot, I think we can fold here. I think its pretty obvious we are beat.

Pot Size: $5.10 ($0.50 Rake)

BB had A:diamond: 6:diamond: (a flush, Ace high) and WON (+$2.10)
Hero had 7:spade: K:spade: (two pair, Kings and Sevens) and LOST (-$2.50)

its fine we want him to chase but we also want to realize when we are beat and let it go. We want to bet more so we can make more money not to chase him out. remember we need to make enough on flop and turn to make up for times when he hits.

To be fair, if you bet the turn alot bigger you could have pushed them of their draw! I would pay to see the next card for such a small price!

I fail to see the reasoning behind this.

yea I was going to post this philthy.

tony you do realize we want them to call but we want to give them incorrect odds but not so much that it is obvious. We want to bet like 2/3 of the pot which is still incorrect to call on the flush draw but our opponent will call because it does not seem like too much. We want this incorrect call
