Flopped flushes....

I was wondering when you flop a flush what is a good bet for and limit to betting this hand? I seem to blow out players on this hand more often than not. Beginning in stages of 1500 starting chips and increasing by what percentage as the stack increases, what would be a good bet?

My bet is depending on just how high my flush is. It's very situational for me, it would depend on how I wanted to gain the info. The best thing to do is protect it if it's low, don't let anyone draw for free. If it's higher then you're free todo whatever you think is best to get the most money into the pot.

Also depends on if you have raised preflop. If you did raise, I'd say to bet it just like a c-bet: if you've been known to c-bet, your hand will be very well disguised and you can trap someone this way. If it's a 10 high flush out of position with 3 more people to talk, a 3/4 bet might be in order to chase out the high cards that might try to draw.

The only time I'll check/call this is if I have the absolute nuts out of position 3-4 handed. Someone is bound to make a move/hit by the turn and then my hand is pretty much disguised if I only call or miniraise to sweeten the pot.

But getting value out of them is pretty tough when the preflop action was low and the board comes with rags 2s9sJs for example.

Depending on my pocket cards... say I have the ace and no possible straight flush on the board, I am check/calling until the river. I am hoping to see another card of that same suit on the turn giving another player an inferior flush. If not, then lets hope they have top pair or trips. If I am first to act on the river I would probably place a medium size bet hoping to get raised or at least called. If I check, then my opponent could be afraid to bet, but if I place a medium size bet (smaller than the last bet my opponent made), and he actually has a hand, then he will at least call, but he will probably raise or push all in thinking I am trying to steal. If he pushes, I instacall. If he raises, I re-raise hoping he goes all in so I can call him. If he goes this far, then he deserves what he gets. He should have already figured out exactly what he was up against!!
