Flopped 2 pairs on scary board In a six man .02/.05 table, in UTG+1 I had QJ suited diamonds. UTG folded. I open raised to 20c. Everyone folds except button, who flat calls. Flop comes 9, J, Q all spades. I bet 30c into a pot of 47c. I got called. I am not sure where I am here. I am thinking maybe he has A10 or maybe QK with perhaps one spade. I've seen people call that with a gutshot. I think if he had made a straight he probably would have raised with a flush draw on the board, unless he had the K of spades. Turn comes 9h. I put in 70c into a pot of about $1.10. I got called again. I am thinking if he had a 9, wouldn't he raise here with a straight and flush draw out there? So I am still thinking he is on a draw. River is a harmless card, a low card of clubs, I can't remember what. I have $1.70 left. The pot is about $2.50. What should I do here? It turns out he had QQ and I was unable to win by the flop. But ignoring that, what should I have done on the river? It simply didn't occur to me that he had QQ, because I had assume he would have 3 bet preflop or at least reraised me on the flop with scary draws out there. So I ended up betting my stack away while drawing dead.

The line we take on the turn means that we're going to have a very tough time folding the river, since we have less than a psb on the river. Kinda hate that I know the outcome, since it's probably biasing the way I'm thinking about the hand, but I think the board is scary enough (flush, straight, paired) to c/c turn and c/f river (b/f if he checks the turn behind).

you can only make a decision with the info you have in front of you and any recent history that you know of. Asumming he has a draw isn't wrong when he flats the flop. You'd expect any set to raise, any straight to raise. The fact he's not a good player makes his hand so deceiving. It would seem he's scared of loosing his stack if he's out drawn or he already thinks he's beat and he just keep clicking call. As far as the hand goes id prob jam the turn, as i want as much money in the middle as possible against his so called draw and im commiting my stack now before im commited on the river anyway. If i thought he had a hand at all it would be a flopped flush, but im not letting variance get in the way of a normally good position to get his stack in on a draw. I don't however expect him to fold his set so id have lost to, but id dam sure make a note of it.

re: Flopped 2 pairs on scary board poker sounded like he was playin' weirdly...which i could normally bet all in on the turn in your situation and let him decide rather to call your 2 pairs...at least there might be a chance that he would fold and he probably would since you shown so much strength

If he has a straight draw (no flush draw) we want to go allin against him on the turn. We're a favorite at that point. If he has a straight draw and a flush draw...well...I think it becomes pretty even? Either way...if you're going to play poker you need to play 100BB deep. Why are you playing with 60BB? Thats like the most horrible amount you could have. It doesn't leave you room to make any moves. If you're afraid to put more than that in, then you should be playing 2NL instead. This is to everyone. Buy in for full (use auto top off) or drop down a level and buy in for full at that level. Trust me (and all the regs)....this is MUCH better. It wouldn't have helped you in this situation, but it will help you in the future.
