Fixed-Limit, How much do I sit with?

I'm starting to get into Fixed Limit. I started because of bankroll restrictions but I'm starting to think this is more of my style. Right now I'm playing .05/.10 on Bodog but I'm wanting to eventually multi-table .25/.50. Now I know I need about $100 for "proper BR management" but what is the minimum I should sit with? I'm thinking sitting with $2 for .05/.10 and $10 for .25/.50 is good but what do you think?

Ty sir...I think I'll stick with 20-25 BB's since I'm still learning and will probably have bigger swings

I usually start with 20-25 and if I happen to drop below 12 (like FP said) I'll reload to at least 15 if the table conditions warrant me continuing there.

What he is saying Jimbo is that you must have at least 12BB's so that you can cap every street if needed. So you can sit with this amount as long as you were to rebuy if you drop below 12BB's.

You want to multi-table at Bodog?

I kinda got that but you made it clear. I think if I sit with 25 BB's I should be good to go.

LOL, well thats the only place I have money and the games are weak. If I play every open table it should work

I usually sit with the following:
.05/.10 = $5
.10/.20 = $8
.25/.50 = $10
.50/1.00 = $20

In most cases you'll be in the upper tier of stacks at the table.

I always use the Stars default buy-in, which is 20BBs. And then I reload when I hit 12 (well, usually when I slip down to 10, but that's because I'm lazy and so few pots get all streets capped anyway).

there is a real simple answer for this.

sit with enough to play a hand capped all the way down to the river.

I like to sit down with, basically, as much as possible. I think it´s the best because the psychological effect of losing will be greater if a bad hour of playing results in you losing half your stack than if it´s just skimming at the top of it.

I also like to rebuy regularly for random amounts. This makes it harder to know if I´m winning or losing, which I believe is a good thing. When I play, I don´t want to occupie my mind with irrelevant issues such as if I´m being up or down for the session, but only with making the right long-term decisions.
