first week of grinding

Ok guys i have played a week grinding out the micro 1/2 nlhe. i have been playing poker for awhile online but last week got tired of donkfest mtt's and variance. i decided to just play 1/2 nlhe with a small bankroll and i am happy to say that after a week and about 2123 hands i have made about a 20 dollar profit. Im so happy woo hoo think i finally got this online thing figured out once again and dont think online poker is made for calling stations getting lucky. still have a few things to work on like how i can get my all in ev near my actual winnings. but hey i think for my first week im on the right track ill post the graph but dont mind the first couple hundred hands as i would loose a mtt and tilt on a cash game. anyway im so happy and i love this site. Once again i know the graph is gonna make some guys laugh but for me its been a huge huge improvement.

If you want some reviews, you can post some of your stats and we can tell you how we think you are going, granted it is only 2K hands so its not a huge represntation of your game but we can still get something to help you improve.


Well done on the good start but you are a long way away from any meaningful results. Also, how many tables do you play?

Right now im only playin 1 table sometimes 2. i know i should be playing more but i dont have alot of time right now with work and everything. I have a small bankroll right now of around 31 32 dollars so i dont want to loose alot of that on one session. I play a very TAG and sometimes i get sucked out on as you can see in the graph but for the most part i am winning most of my sessions. I want to concentrate on 1 table right now at 1/2 as im working on opening my starting ranges in different positions. I have found that stealing is not a very good thing to do at these stakes as most people will call anything and shove with even just bottom pair after the flop. Im starting to read a textured flop much better now and how to put people on different hands based on bet size, time to bet raising calling. Again i know its not alot of hands but i have been a live game player for a long time and am just now figuring out the huge change between the two. For any new member reading this, the information and advice in these forums is great and if you listen and apply little by little here and there your game will improve.

I think you mean 0.01/0.02? 1/2 would imply $1/$2 which is not the micros anymore.

But yeah, post some stats and people can offer advice.

lol, yea I think so too. I was about to go off about BRM if he was playing $1/$2 with only $30.
