Final Table Tilt

Here is a situation I found myself in a few times. Though I am fairly new to the game I managed to get to a few final tables. Same happened yesterday at our Noble freeroll. I played about as well as I am able to at the moment. Cards were not good to say the least, but I managed to steal a few blinds, winning the hands I did get, got to the final table and then BOOM.
I get A 7 off, certainly counting to the better cards I got in that tourney, so I thought I call the blind. As soon as the next person calls I realized I made two mistakes, not realizing I was at a full table again and that I was in early position. A few more callers, a raise another call and I noticed I had no business in this pot. So I did the logical thing and pressed the All-In button.
Of course I got kicked out. I tried to make light of it and said: oops, wrong button. But man was I mad at myself.
So what is the mindset supposed to be when getting to the final table and to avoid these black outs? I'd just love to get a stab at the top 5 or maybe even winning, 6th the best I ever finished.

Allin? That's not logical. You could have folded and waited. You definetly were on tilt. The question is why? New table, new players. Look back and see what factor made you go allin. One of the first things you should have done and you did was realize after the raises you didn't belong in that hand. But you let the testosterone take effect and thumped your chest and said "Challenge me? HA! I'll show you" You needed to thump your head instead and say "DOH! time to fold". When that happens again take a sip of whatever you are drinking, sit back in your chair, and think to yourself, 'Am I the prey or the hunter here?", decide and then bet accordingly.
By the way, who won yesterday? I finished 13th. I had mondo people over and was cooking fried chicken while playing so I couldn't finish through.

Kanufi, you've answered your own question! Just make sure next time you're aware of table position, and realise you are back to full table. I think we've all got too far into pots, where the only way out seems to be an all in bluff (I know I certainly have), but I dont think it's advisable when someones already raised.
I blew out in first few hands on 2 appallingly mistimed bluffs - never mind!

There's nothing that says you can't sit out for a few hands when you get to the final table. Especially if you realize that the final table is a mental hurdle for you that you are trying to overcome. When that final table gathers and you find yourself seated there, and your body tenses up, and your heart begins to pound a little, hit the sitout button. Get up and leave the room for a couple of minutes. Take some deep breaths and remind yourself of the key points you want to focus on. Position. Starting hands. Tell yourself this is no different than the 1-table sit-n-go tournaments that you don't bat an eye at playing. Give yourself some positive affirmation. Then sit back down and just play cards.

I know it wasn't logical. lol. Looks like no one understood my sense of humor here. I wanted to hit the fold button but wasn't focused enough. And no I wasn't smoking anything
