Feedback on my stats for 5NL plz?

Hey,

Been playin 5NL for about 6-7 weeks. I played for a while and only ended up with $2 profit, but I became more comfortable so decided to start fresh with a new chart. I have found a style of play that I'm comfortable with and am pleased with my profits.

I only remember two major mistakes I made - slow-playing kings got me in trouble and I made a bad call with ace high flush. Two queens were on board and I knew someone had a full house but convinced myself to call - lost $10 which you can see near the end of the chart. Apart from those I have been happy with my play.

I'd like feedback from experience players on how I am doing, what I'm doing right and what I'm doing wrong and hopefully I'll keep improving

No it means you should be waiting until the BB comes around to play your 1st hand instead of posting whenever you sit down. Over your posted sample it has cost you $3.94 or .53BB/100.

Also small sample and you're running very good but just based on preflop numbers you're playing pretty poorly.

VPIP/PFR. You're just playing too many hands and not playing enough of them as the aggressor. What is your overall vpip/pfr/af?

OBV not folding any pair preflop.. Look at stats.. set mining every pair

Yeah they are sorry. 23/11/2 is generally not going to be the stats of a long-term winner at FR. Like I said before small sample so it could just be you've been getting a lot of good starting hands over this sample?

It could be, i had hoped not lol! Iv had aces over 30 time and they held up every time. What kind of of numbers would your average winning TAG or LAG player have? Thanks for your replies!

Range of say 16/14 to 10/9. There are certainly winners with stats way outside of that range and you should never aim for on particular type of stats, but I'd say the vast majority of winners through small stakes at least fall in that range.

wow 30times u had aces and they held up? Are you serious they have always held up? lol. Good graph though, better than mine haha. I can't comment like wvbilly as I know nothing was just sneaking a peep and had to comment on the aces!

There is no mystery as to why TAG and SLAG styles dominate micros.

Opponents call too much.

If you are going to get to SD a lot then you need cards that win often at SD.

In order to profitably play wider ranges, people need to be folding hands postflop with greater reliability. The problem with the micros is that the sums of money are too small for people to lay hands down AND feel curious.

At higher stakes you can really want to know what someone has, yet still lay down as the sums of money involved are too great to make tonnes of crying calls.

People do make crying calls, but no where near as much.

At 5NL people will call 3 streets of betting with AK and THINK its good. At higher limits people will also call 3 streets with AK.. but this time they do so because they KNOW its good against their opponents range.. it isnt simply wishful thinking.

stupid question by me here but i was looking at your statjpgs and i saw you twice had 4 of a kind but only once saw the flop.... so, what am i missing? or does it refer to other people in the hand with you? lol i'm gonna look like an idiot on this one, so i've got to get ready for the cardschrolls

Poker Tracker logs the hands you fold as well, so in this case the OP probably folded something like 85o and the flop came 555. OP: "OMG! Woulda had quads! FML!"

im no expert on this but isnt his wtsd really low too? i mean i guess it would be affected by too much calling preflop, but would it be that low if so?

Just to update everyone - I hit a rough spell and dropped to around $60, got through it and had over $100. Iv had two big losses with set over set and im down to 90. Still pleased though as i've over 10000 hands now and no sign of any huge changes. I do play loose but until it stops payin off I'll probably stick to it

thanks... also learned that 5nl means .05... lol, i thought it was 5.00.
