F'roll re-buy on Titan poker

I played on Titan in the mornig (because here was 7 o'clock) $200GP Freeroll re-buy. What the odds that finish in good place without re-buy?
The most players were more aggressive than ever (all in and reraise). They go all in, because when lost the stacks, just re-buy.What the best strategy against these players?

Rax,

This is just me, but I try to avoid the rebuy tournaments to begin with. Most of these are basically who has enough cash to outlast to the last rebuy/addon period. Kind of like Poker Survivor!

But if you have to play them here is how I play them. Granted there are many more experienced players on here but I thought I would give you my opinion on it.
I would be playing only premium hands and play tight. It's kind of like the thread on the aggressive player. Not much you can do with these people unless you have the nuts. there are so many more suck outs in these tournies than regular freezeouts IMHO. My plan when I have played these type of tournaments is to hold my own and rebuy/addon right before that period is up. Of course like any other tournaments the more chips you can accumualate before the end of the rebuy period is always helpful. Basically like any hand you want the Best Hand going in. I would take advantage of when I saw a real chance to limp or even small raise a lower premium hand in late position like your mid PPs. I guess I am just rambling here so.

I haven't played one since I think the last cardschats freeroll/rebuy we had late spring early summer last year. So I'll leave the rest of the comments for the ones that do play these.

I hope I was some help Rax.

I also hate rebuys. Have to tuff it out till end of period. I played in 1 where a player went all in 6 out of 7 hands $10 tourny. He finally won a hand where 3 others went all in and increased his 1500 chips to 8500. He got himself into good position even though it cost $70. Worth it if he made final table, I didnt check. I found some tourneys where rebuys stop after 30 minutes. Those are not too bad.

The number of rebuys people make aren't very big in free rolls, and the people who make them are probably not going to win the tourney. People always play loose/aggresive in freerolls so just play very tight and pick your spots to move your stack in. Then you should do very well in them.

Being new to poker, I really have a tough time with the tournaments that have re-buys. I guess I just don't look close enough when I register because I have been in several that I did not know offered the re-buy option. This is hard on me because I don't have the money to re-buy chips when I run out, therefore, I am not very successful at this type of tournament.

Look out for the "Freezeout" tourneys - these are straight forward 1 time buy-ins and once you have run out of chips, thats it - game over.

You may still come across the odd maniac who goes all-in, but they are generally looking for early chips and the glory of being chip leader.

When of course the only time that it really matters is at the end.

I also hate re-buys of any shape and the add-ons are just a obvious way of getting even more of your money into the pot.
