Drinking and playing
I think I play better when I am drunk, it loosens me up. Last night i played a cash game with 8 of my friends. I borrowed ten dollars from my girlfriend because I had no money. I won 70 dollars in 3 hours. When i started to sober up, however, i discontinued to win. After 7 hours of playing, i ended up with 67 dollars.
Does anybody else play better when they are drunk? |

Totally agree, I highly recommend drinking & playing. The perfect scenario is drinking to excess then sitting at a table with me.
Thanks in advance for the donations.P.S. ChuckT's should totally disregard the above. ![]() Last edited by Kenzie 96 : 07-04-2007 at 8:29 PM. |

re: Drinking and playing
you mispelled 'men' PQ. and the reason drinking helps some people is that it helps them treat their money more like units/chips rather than actual dollars, which is very necessary.

drinking is okay if its light but I think a lot of the time, people want to drink more than they should.
I dont do it because my play is sharper when sober, but if it helps you to drink, just dont get inebriated. |

heres a tip i enjoy at the casinos. i dont drink to get enebriated but if i have a drink about every hour or so, i get just a bit relaxed and it gives the impression im a very loose player which helps to get more money in my winning pots lol

When I play at home I have some beers sometimes, I play better myself with about five or six in me, but past that I get way too loose so I usually shut the beer or the poker off after six, and it's usually the poker, lol.

re: Drinking and playing
I must be a complete donk when I get completely hammered! Twice now (since I started playing for money online) I've woken up not remembering how I got home. Both times I woke up to "the table is now closed" and down a good chunk of coin.
I really should think of a way to make it more difficult for me to get online. Do they have breathalizers for computers? ![]() |

LMAO.....good one. I've been in the purveyance of computers and their technology for 15 years now.....think I just solved the computer breathalizer test for online poker players that may resolve this issue. It'll cost ya $5 for my solution....Paypal accepted......lol
(and it does work and 100% money back guarantee!!!!!!) Cheers! ![]() |

i find that it also makes me more patient also though. when i know i have cards that i shouldnt bet on, ill just say just fold, sit back, and enjoy the buzz. This prevents me from getting bored when i keep getting dealt cards that usually get me into trouble

wow the very same for me. I got really high one night put some music on and turned 5 dollars into 150 in 2 hours. I then lost it all through a series of stupid moves and bad luck. I think being high or drunk helps i have no idea why but it definitely helps me |
