Down to the final 2 in SnGs
I'd like to see how different people play this situation.
I'm usually about 50% up on my opponent once we're down to the final pair at SnGs due to me stealing tons of blinds on the bubble. Once I'm heads up I continue to play really aggressively, and the game is usually over in about 5 hands or less, with me coming out on top most of the time (75% roughly). Some posts I've read on this site suggest that these HU situations go on for ages. Is this how most of you experience things? |

If I get to heads up, my play will be determined by the blinds and stack size, If I feel I have room for some plays then il try and out play the opponent, sometimes the blinds become way to big to try moves and then its just trying to get my money with the best hand and letting the poker gods decide.

Especially at the end of SnGs, the blinds are so high, and the M-factors of both you and your opponent's stacks are so low that it should be finished very quickly. I have of course (and so have most of you, i'm sure) found yourself playing see-saw with all ins for ages. But generally, ya - HU play at the end of SNGs should be very quick unless you find yourself in a weird situation with both of you having very high M values. |

Yup Heads Up I play very aggressively and I seem to do quite well.....I guess on average it takes about 10 hands for me to either be doing a victory lap around my computer or crying in the foetal position on the floor of my study.......

If your heads up, you must play VERY aggressive...Usually at this point the blinds are huge and basically your not going to see a flop...so basically any A or K high and your poppin....sometimes you just gotta pop with air as well if your opponent is tight...

Heads up can take ages or be over in 4 hands depending on the type of players and the cards being dealt cos if both players get big hands then it can be over quick but if there is a raise and the other player has junk he will fold. Aggressive is probably the right play but if your opponent comes back at you beware cos he probably has a monster. My heads up game hasnt been to good or lucky recently andc has culminated in me finishing 2nd in 6 of my last 7 heads up, although in 4 of them i was allin with the best hand but got sucked out on.
