Like everyone i think we all hate floping 2 pair with there being a straight draw out their. I hate that so much.
My best advice is when u flop the 2 pair bet as much as you think it will take to get the others out of the hand. If you just slow play it you will get beat by something. Your best bet is to just take the blinds and go on to the next hand. |

it depends for me, sometimes i like to draw it out and play like i have a draw myself, then bet it out at the end like i missed the draw and i'm trying to buy it. generally, it depends on how many people i'm playing with (6 handed preferred) and how people are betting. for instance, if someone raises preflop and K-8-2 comes out, i'm going to assume he hit that king, and my two pair is best.
you can't always bet people off of it, you can make a lot of money if the conditions are right. |

I think that it really matters on the table. If you have been playing with the same guys, you will be able to get a feel for how they play. So then if you know that players like to chase draws, at least make them pay for it. I never slow play anything, when I know that a particular player loves to chase.....just some thoughts

when i flop 2 pair i want the other poeple with their draws to call, because statistically I will win the pot more times than them,....and if they hit, they hit, you just gotta know when to fold it

I think the first question that needs to be asked is: which two pair have you flopped? Bottom two pair? Top two? One in your hand and one on the board? Aces up, or nines up? Is your second pair vulnerable to counterfeiting?
If your read is you're up against a single player with a straight or flush draw (and nothing else), you should be taking the hand down 65-70% of the time. The OP has actually identified the least of your problems. The bigger problem with two-pair type hands is implied in the questions above: depending on which ones you're holding, you're vulnerable to your bottom pair being counterfeited, your top pair on the flop being bettered on a later street, or being dominated by a set from the beginning. Your redraws also aren't as good as they would be if you were holding a set on the flop either: without the board doing something runner-runner, you've only got four outs to a full house (as opposed to 10 outs to a boat / quads for the turn and river combined if you're holding a set). |

welll depending on the levels of play for instance in lower limits or buy-ins if you do play two pair agressive to a drawed flop then they'll call or goo all in most of the time.....so really you should try and put them on a hand before you start betting large amounts i mean if you have AK you usually rais epreflop if they call what do you put them on a pocket pair,AQ, or a higher pair.....if the flop is A K J, and you bet high AQ is out but(unless the go allin (lower levels)) do you really think Q 10 is in there if you raised preflop?????.....or if the flop is A K 10...do you think Q J is in there ?????
