DO PEOPLE WHO MULTITABLE HELP OR HINDER YOUR DEVELOPMENT AS A PLAYER
Thought I'd throw this out there as I play a lot of sngs and tbh while a lot of strategy sites issues dire warnings about mt sharks, I love nothing more than to be sat on the right of a guy playing fifteen tables.
In fact it makes up the bulk of my sng strategy- play your good hands steal off the multi tablers becuase HUD software or not even if they know you re stealing they can t really afford the time to defend with k,4 with 9 other tables. So in terms of $ value am all for it but when it comes to the actual game I think my own playing suffers. The reality is on a final table of a big tourney I'm not going to be able to min raise 4 players in a row preflop and have them all fold to me. And i guess the question doesnt just apply to multi tablers but anyone using a shove or fold strategy. Even if it works for your bankroll does it ruin the game? |

I have found that as far as the multitabbing goes, it does make it hard to play the table. I have found myself just flipping over to see the cards and folding or staying in based on the cards and not on the table. This might be fine if you are having a good card day, but when really playing poker is involved it's crap. As far as the push or fold method, I only use that when we are down to the last 2 on a sit n go! It would take all night passing money back and forth to finish one of those things right and I only there to have fun and get a profit (mainly the profit) whicj I still get with 2nd place!

i can't multi table. i focus on cards rather than situations, which is not how you want to play long term. i think overall, you can profit from multi tabling players, but unless they divulge that is what they are doing there is really no way to tell.

To be honest, if the person is a beginner in multitabling and also play like a robot, i tink he will not grow as a player. but if he's seasoned enough to mass tabling n monitor his oppoenent, he will be much better than those focusing on 1 table...

A HUD is important for multi tabling because it helps you keep track of your opponent while your playing so many hands. Multi tabling helps me stay tighter and basically wait for solid values. I would wonder what point you would get up and leave if you are doing well.

I don't mind when people multi table. You can't do anything about it and you are already playing.....you just gotta deal with the situation, so just go play!
I also agree that multi tabling gets me to play tighter when I would probably be a loose. |
