Did I lose my bottle here or what??? MTT NL Holdem.

Hi guys.

I cant get a screen print so here goes.

293 enter a $0.50 rebuy. I`m sitting with just above average chips (11,720) UTG +1 I`m delt QQ. (Blinds 300/600)

I raise to 2,400. I had taken down a few hands recently by raising unchallenged, but I did have hands. (KK, AK, 66 button - raised all in after 6 limpers and they all folded - nice play Ron!!!)

Guy with just under 19,000 chips goes all in - I`m now thinking he is getting sick of me raising, so I`m going with him. another guy with 24,000 chips goes all in. I have just under 10000 left.

Do I fold or call. I`m thinking "I`m happy to call the first guy who probably has AJ+ or a pp below Q`s - obviously he could have better, but I think not. My concern is the other guy."

What do u guys think?

I would have to suspect that the 2nd guy who went all in would have holdings like AA,KK, or even AK. A thing you should factor in is how has this guy been playing through out the tourny. What "type" of player is he. What is his range? After figuring all that out, weigh that against what your gut is telling you.

Personally, in this situation I may have layed down the QQ because at this point your tournement life was at stake and you probably don't have the best hand at this point. How did the rest of the hand play out?

I'd just bite the bullet and fold and use your loose image to your advantage.

I say easy fold the second Allin is most likely AA, KK, or AK. I think you could find a better spot because even if your hand is good preflop with 2 people seeing all 5 cards one of them will suckout fairly often.

What kind of reads do you have on each of the all ins? Are they playing tight, loose, what? The reraise all in can just as easily be an isolation move by a mid pocket pair as it is AK/AA/KK. Without a read, I can't say for sure I would lay this down.

Against good players, definite fold. But many players play way too loose at the low buy-in tourneys. At least one of them could easily have a smaller pair, and the other could have AQ(or worse). If the players are very loose, I would call here and gamble to triple up.

I agree with Cheetah here.

Why is it that most people assume villains are holding AA, KK.

Players think A,10 etc is a great hand.

Call, Call, Call

Well, very interesting

I was very much of the opinion that one of them must have something. My guess was the second all in guy. I though the first guy either had a smaller pp than me or he had AJ+. When the second guy went over the top I was thinking he either had AK, AA, KK - I could not believe he would go over the top with two ppl with less.

As far as table image, the two guys were the big stacks at the table, I was third biggest. They had not been making many move because I was beating them to it .

I did think "What if they both have Ax/ AK. Straight away their outs are reduced."

The game was on Titan Poker. What happened was I took so long to decide my hand auto folded . However, I checked out my stack, looked at the options and I would have folded.

However, when I saw their cards I was not far away with the first guy but I could not believe the second.

The guy with 19k showed AQ and the guy with 24k showed A8

Flop Ks2c4d turn 4s River 5s so as it turned out I would have tripled up!!! But I feel at the time and with the information I had folding was the correct call.

I still missed out on the cash. I started bullying again, got up to 15k in chips. Blind 1200/600 delt AKs in late position. Folded around to me. Guy on button had 18k, sb 5k, bb 6k. We were 3 places from $$$. So I pushed all in. 18k guy called with 99. His 9`s held up.

So, on this hand I feel I was correct to push and if I had been the guy on the button I would have folded my 99. He didnt, they held up and gl to him

In those rushes where I am getting cards, and doing what you were doing AND run into a table that finally decides to fight back, AND I am holding the goods, I would probably fold in that situation but maybe not for the same reason you stated.

You logic prefold was good, but I would fold it there just so I could see both of their hands and not be in tourney life jeopardy.

From your story, I think they both decided to fight back at you, and QQ being as nice as it sometimes is, is not good for life or death decisions. SO you got to see what neither of them really wanted anyone to see. Hope you made notes.

Also, hero only had less than 20BB. Now if Hero had 50BB and was going against the only 2 players who can hurt him, then even if they are loose, folding should be considered.

In this case, Hero doesn't have an exceptional stack and that was a good place to gamble.

And yes, many players in these donkaments think that any Ace is GOLD. They go all-in with it, call with it, even re-raise. I wished I knew how their thinking process goes. Actually, I don't.

Another think to point out is that the most likely hands they have are smaller pairs and Aces. For smaller pairs, they are huge dogs. But for Aces, their Aces overlap so we don't go against 4 live cards, but usually against one overcard (as it turned out to be). Even if one one of them has AK, we are not much worse than going against one player. In fact, we are in BETTER shape, because they both draw to only 2 Aces(as opposed to 3).

Once again, this is a certain call for me in donkaments.

it's a call in my book too , tough decision but unless I'm on the bubble , I call . this is example of how loose they play.

I would have called with AA

In my origional post, I was holding QQ. If I had called after thinking about it, one turned Ax and the other turned KK I would have been sitting saying "I knew I should have folded, an all in raise followed by an all in reraise. Am I stupid calling with QQ in this situation"

I accept that its only a $0.50 buy in, but, IMO, you still need to make the correct plays. So, on this occassion, fold was the correct call (IMO)
