couple of things first off:

-I've been at CC for over a year now and feel like I'm involved
- In only a year, I've made some awesome friends here so far
- I play 10nl on the Merge network currently
-I've only taken online poker "seriously" for about 6-8 months, but after FTP/Black Friday, I haven't quite been playing as much as I should
- I feel like as a player, I have hit a brick wall so to speak. I'm past the opening donk moves like limping in pots, chasing w/terrible odds, no positional awareness etc. Beyond this beginning knowledge, I feel lost.
-As I'm closing in on 2k posts currently, this should serve as my traditional "2k post". I don't feel like I have any insight to share, so instead I will pass this off as a milestone post

-There is a solid group of cash players here , (myself, tyler, tom, arran etc.) who all play between 4-25. Would be cool if we could all move up the limits together, hopefully this thread can help make that happen


Anyone who chats w/me regularly knows, I have serious leaks in my game, namely tilt issues.. ( i finally admitted it, so go to hell jake and tyler )
-I'm tired of whining about losing and it seems like no matter what I read online or watch in training videos, I don't get much better
- So i'm going to open up to the CC community, criticism is 100% welcome. Everything from HH's, to typical thought process of micro players, to the best ways to improve, tips for grinding longer, etc.
- I don't think something like this would work at other forums, as CC has a unique feel to it that other forums do not.


-This is not a "deuces cash thread" where i'll bore you all w/my progress in -poker. I will post graphs, HH's etc. but it will not be a "Mondays graph: tuesdays graph, wed graph etc."

-This is going to be an "evolution" thread, where I hope to discuss concepts, leaks, thought process of a micro stakes player (aka me).

-This was all partly inspired by Vanq's post about getting better, so credit to you.

-This will be cash based, no tourny chat allowed! (sorry alex )

-I hesitate to put any goals on this "experiment", but I would hope to be a 50nl+ reg by the time it would be considered "over".

- Hopefully after this is complete, this could be used as a template for future struggling grinders to "break through" in online poker

tilt is your only issue when your realise this you will win. oh and maybe tripling every board but we can deal with this later.

if u feel comfy at 10nl no matter wat then why wait till 500 to take a shot? like for example, 25bi's at 10nl is enough for me imo so im going to take a 25nl shot when my roll is at $350. if ur doing it because u feel like u have a ton of leaks and wanna prove u can beat 10nl then i can see why, but if not that seems like a wasted time when u can be taking shots much earlier.

in in in; Duece me and you have alot the same issue in common, I hate the fact that i don't stick to a stoploss, or quit when i start getting a bit too tired or fuzzy.

There needs to be some discussion about staying out ahead of the learning and evolution curve.

Currently on BCP also playing 4-10nl and getting my a** handed to me by a long long d/s.

also getting 55% rb, roll is 106$ from initial 120$ depo.
but since switching to merge, I've been crazy up and down, last 3 weeks have been a massive d/s. Getting it in super good playing well , just losing a ton to suckouts. on BCP I am down around -140$.

What causes you specifically to tilt duece?

for me its feeling like i'm retard for getting stacked by retarded uber fish, multiple times in a short sample size. I also have a couple too many beers when i'm up a few bi's, then proceed to play poorly

I've always cbet a fair amount. I do try to take into account the board texture etc before making a cbet but I can understand if I'm still too liberal, I'll look into it. Probably why I'm losing at showdown atm (win at 2 and 5nl).

i dropped mine from about what yours is to 60ish and i win alot more.

also what do you mean you have another skype?

I forgot/lost mine and figured it was deleted or something when I could never log onto Skype. Turns out I just needed a new version of Skype but there was no auto-update. I made a new account trying to get it working. I've pm'ed benevg.

ya because ranges are tighter so you will have more equity more frequently

^ well said! ya the $ etc. is really not ever the issue, but it can be revealing in a sense, the making poor decisions- a.k.a. poor thought process' is what is important to correct. a serious of sweats, plus going thru HH's is gonna be the logical means to improve and course correct.
