Dealing with losing streaks

I mostly play 1 &2 table sit n goes. My style is generally tight aggressive. But for the last couple weeks I can't seem to catch a break and am losing big hands at critical times. I seem unable to put opponents on hand, and if I have a good hand, but less than the nuts I will call it down only to lose to the nuts.
Also I now seem to be almost timid, folding to any medium to big bet on flops that miss me but probably miss my opponent also. When I do call they will have the nuts. Frustrating.
Would appreciate any comments on this situation.

When that happens, I try and take a break for a couple of day, catch up in reading do some things that bring a positive gain such as completing a chore that I have been putting off. Catch Positive energy is amazing.

Ive been on long losing streaks, sometimes over 10K hands (ring games) and oddly, I find the best thing to do (at least for me) is keep playing or even play more. If your playing worse due to the losing streak (which most people do) then by all means take a break. But taking a break will not end a bad run.

It's not a losing streak, it's what happens sometimes while you are working through the long run as part of your overall winning streak

I try to think of it like this so it just becomes part of the game.

Thanks for the suggestions. I've annalyzed some of my play and found I'm playing too many weak hands preflop, such as weak aces and kings and getting in serious trouble when I hit the Ace or King. I've also been calling too many hands down when I miss the flop with my good starting hands. For me it takes awhile to get my play analyzed and make those changes.

Player without a country

Sounds like you're going about it right and their is a lot of good advice here. Remember this. The cards have no memory. Every hand is a new game........
