| I wish I could take credit for this, but it's not mine. It's a great way to keep yourself playing, and consistently taking shots at bigger games. Let's say you start off playing the .01/.02 game, as small as it gets. You can buy in for $5. So you start with a BR of $100 or 20 buy-ins. Once you attain a number of buyins 50% larger for the next level up, try out those games. So .02/.05 and .05/.10 are both $10 buy-ins, and you need 30 of them, so when you hit $300 go do it up. But if you lose 1/2 of your new bankroll, you have to drop back to the previous level. So see what happens here is you started with $100, when it got to $300 you moved up. If you lost 1/2 of it, you drop back down with $150, 50% more than you started, and now you start the process again. You have 30 buyins, so when you get to 45 at the next level, try again. |

| First of all I think you can try a new level once you get 20 buy ins. It is aggressive and Im not saying you should only be playing that. Game select and find a good seat and the next level and also play your regular stakes. 30 buy ins would be enough to move up but if you drop down to 15 buy ins, I would drop back down in stakes and make the money up again. Also make sure you have rakeback on your account because it is a necessity for micros. |
