Completing bet in Razz or Stud

When I play Razz and Stud, I don't like to call the bring in. I usually will complete or raise. I don't see letting the bring in looking at their cards for free. I know this is a very basic question, but is this correct play? Why would/wouldn't a person just call the bring in?

Typically, it's because you've got a drawing hand that you want to play multi-way (I'll ignore the fact for the moment that in Razz, all hands are drawing hands on third street).

I think of it much like set mining or playing suited connectors in hold 'em - sometimes you just want to take a cheap shot at a big draw.

You call the bring in when you want a large multi-way pot. So in stud, hands like a 3-flush or 3-straight. You have to get up to at least $1/$2 before completing the bring-in for deception even becomes a factor.

Basically I limp with my drawing/implied odds hands and raise with my hands that prefer it heads up.

Hands like a 3 flush with 3 big cards like is certainly worth a complete though, since it plays well no matter how many players are in the pot.

If I have a strong hand in early position, sometimes I limp in razz to go for a limp-raise. That also allows me to limp with weaker hands from time to time when the situation is right.

I usually like to limp no matter the quality of starting cards in razz. I feel like I can make a better assessment after 4th street how my hand will play. Even on 4th street I'm still drawing. Seems odd to bet before the 4th card because so many times you see the starting 3 go up in smoke. I just prefer to go cheap on razz. Very different style for me versus stud.
