check raise on the flop against a slow player

You're in a table of 7 everyone in early position folds exept a slow player (tight-well rounded) who passivly called the big blind. He barely raises before the flop.

You hold AQo you raise 1,000 (chip stack is 10,000)

He calls. (chip stack is 14,000)

Flop comes K Q 7 rainbow

He checks.

You raise 1000

He re raises it to 2500

He has been check-raising alot lately despite having top pair, trips and getting a nut-straight on the flop a few hands ago.

Whats your move having only 2nd pair?

Fold.

You asked a question he gave you an answer.

Unless you have information to the contrary take his bet at face value.

There is an argument that you have enough outs to call, but given your stack you are likely to price yourself in to call any move he makes on the turn.

Your read on him is pretty specific and if you've seen him check raise the near nuts several times then it's an easy fold.

Missing information is the blinds and more importantly what's your table image? If you are a known continuation better and are capable of folding then it's a factor. But face value it's a fold.

Yup.

"He could be bluffing" is sometimes a good enough reason to continue in limit, but rarely in no-limit. Costs too much to find out.

Wow, could I finally be learning something? I normally read FP's responses & then the light comes on. My bankroll says no you aren't learning anything yet but hope springs eternal.
