| Calling ranges This is disussion on cash games. One thing which I'm currently pondering is what should my calling range be? Lets assume I'm on the Button, or maybe the cuttoff. A villian opens in either Early or middle position. I know what his V$IP and PFR are I also know his C-bet % is. Lets assume his c-bet is a solid number.. not overly passive or aggressive. What range should I be calling with?? Lets say his PFR in his current position is 10% or 20% What range stacks up well against this range? Do I call a 10PFRer with my top 10%? Do I call with the upper and lower section of my 10% but fold the middle to make post flop decisions easier? Do I call with a wider range because I have position? say 15%? |

| Assuming 100bb stacks or deeper, Average players are pretty bad so you want to be calling pretty wide in position. You aren't going to call with premium hands obviously but any pocket pair 10-JJ, suited connecter down to 8/9 maybe. Add in the times you take pots aways just becuase you are in position and it is quite profitable. Of course the Blinds and the button (if you in the CO) make a difference also. I know my answer is vague but it is a vague question |
