| C-betting vs checking the flop Maybe some of you poker tracker guru's can put some light on this subject for me with some numbers.Like how many times should you c bet % wise when you hit the flop-or if you don't.How many times should you check the flop when you hit the flop-or not.I'm basicly a feel player but it seems over a large sample this should be a good why to go about it say like over 200k hands or way more maybe. Thanks |

| C-betting -- just do it. Most of the time. Whether you hit the flop or not. I think I'm at around 65% overall, but probably a lot higher against one opponent. And I'm successful about half the time -- I think that's profitable no matter what. |

| cbetting or not depends primarily on position, number of opponents and board texture. But essentially, cbetting a lot is good. At FR I cbet the flop about 70% of the time, but I know very good regs who cbet up to 80% very profitably. There's a great video on cbetting in the free section of stoxpoker. This is a must see. |

Don't forget the check raise, that works to.... Don't work most of the time, in 2NL, but C-Betting, seams to work in MTT's, but only on tight players... If you try it on a Loose player = money, or chips lost. |

If its working 50% of the time then thats fine. A 1/2 pot c-bet must work 33% of the time a 3/4 pot c-bet must work 43% of the time. So if your c-bet success is 50% then you show an auto profit by doing it. |

| re: C-betting vs checking the flop poker O yeah i left out one of the most important things about this suject that was bothering me.When you riase in postion an someone calls out of postion the flop comes sort of scary for every one like kj4 two suited, you have 4 types of player here.Player 1 check folds to the c bet ,player 2 check raises the c bet, player 3 min or real close to mini bets the flop player 4 bets 3/4 or a full pot size. With player 1 you win obv. player 3 i normaly raise about pot size an win most. But player 2 and 3 is what i have always had trouble with any thoughts on this from anyone. Thanks |
