Bots in cash games Not certain where to put this post, but it relates to cash games and theory of how to play cash games so this is as good a place as any I guess. I /think/ I've discovered a bot. I don't know how prevalent they are, but, well here's my evidence. If it's a real person (unlikely) then I think I can almost play perfectly against them. I've still got some more spots to fill in, I'll go check my db on him (I have getting on for 9k hands on him). These are simply my notes that I've made while playing 'him' at the table. First off, he 24 tables 6max 25nl (woah!) and there is not much in the way of delay in his decision making. He has played over 600k hands and is a massive loser (if you don't count bonuses/rakeback) Check his graph attached. If someone opens for less than 3BB and he's in the BB, he'll 3bet to 10BB and INSTAfold to a min raise A LOT ! (see example below from today in a hand with me). PF: AI = AK, QQ+ regardless of villain. F: donk = TPMK,set,2P, (made hand), if he checks BET because he'll fold 100%, if he calls cbet in a 3bet pot he has a monster draw or 2P+. Also I've NEVER seen him make a move. He simply bets when he's got it and folds when he doesn't. I know some of this is obvious, but really, can it be a 'real person' playing like this simply to eek out a (very) small bonus. No-Limit Hold'em, $0.25 BB (6 handed) Button ($11.22) SB ($25.85) BB ($26.11) UTG ($27.77) MP ($42.72) Hero (CO) ($25) Preflop: Hero is CO with A , 2![]() 2 folds, Hero bets $0.65, 2 folds, BB raises $2.25, Hero raises $4.35, 1 fold Total pot: $5.10 Results: Hero had A , 2 (nothing).Outcome: Hero won $7.60

I've discovered my fair share of bots on cake before to be honest. Very prdictable, same sort of playing styles. In my opinion cafeman, if you honestly think he's a bot then they are qutie exploitable and you can take a fair bit of money from them 3betting many ranges vs them. They don't know any different and don't read peoples VP or raising info so you can raise 100% getting folds. The only time they will shove are with Aces/Queens. Which is this on? Surely not pokerstars because they are the best for catching bots.

LOOOOL +1, speaking of bots brings them all out. Seriously though, that's weird, is he always 3-betting in the BB if you open say 2.5x? cause that sounds like a nice little earner right there for you! Sounds like a pretty shit bot, i wonder if he's even making money, have you looked at the comments on his ptr, see what other people are thinking about him?

Comments on him in PTR are all in French, but they basically translate to, "3bet this guy he always folds". Not sure why they would offer that piece of gold to the great unwashed, but there you go. |

Lol+2. You could check the hours it sits without breaking as well, some are dumb enough to set their bots for 24 hour sessions. I visited a bot forum and know that this particular one had warned it's players not to set them up on Pokerstars. They are on most other sites, and alot are pretty crappy. I remember when FT shut them down, alot were complaining that their bots were already in the hole money wise, lol.

PTR:- He's played 1 mirrion hands ! Down like $4,500 Rakeback $6,500 They got it winning @5nl & 10nl FR, breakeven at 25nl FR, but a MASSIVE loser @ 5nl & 10nl & 25nl 6max. Hmmm I'm not going to draw any conclusions about FR<6max... no... not me, I wouldn't do that, no that would be for the observant reader to conclude

Soooo blatant. I played with it earlier today and they've got it set to 24 table.. but the decisions all take between 1-2 seconds... never more. Who said pokerstars were good at catching bots? I can't see why they'd want to though in this case.
