Boredom
When I play in tourneys (500-2500 people) and I make it deep, I have a tendency to get bored with it. After play for 3 or 4 hours, it gets old for me. Anyone else experience this? How do you overcome it?

i agree with chev, the final stages are the fun part where you dont have to worry so much about building up a stack and outlasting. You can just try and play your best poker to beat the players around you and not hundreds at once

Play SNGs on the side ? Listen to soothing classical music ? Take up gardening ? Seriously, there's no real answer since you cannot do anything but play once you get 4 hours in and you should be even more focused because of your invested time.
Maybe donkaments are not for you. I know that after playing a deepstack, where I was def. +EV due to being able to play postflop, that I don't like spending 8 hours stealing and restealing even though I have an edge. Just not worth it since it takes forever to complete. |
