Big Slick Question
Alright, here is the situation. You get dealt AKo in the button and only have 1 person call before it gets around to you. You raise 3xBB and that person calls. The flop comes 9 10 K (rainbow). They Check, do you bet? Or do you check to set a trap?

I'm almost always betting here. Of course it depends on some other factors (like what limit we're playing, ring game/tourney, stacks...you know, all those other things we really need to know to evaluate a decision), but most cases I lead for 1/2 to 2/3 of the pot.

Bet, but beware, just as you want to trap them, they would would love trapping you. 1/2 pot bet should give you the pot, or info. Should you get a call, you should seriously consider you are already way behind. Doesn't mean you are but do not discount the possibility.

First of all I would bet more pf (4xbb + 1bb per limper if cash), but answering your question I would continuation bet this flop all day long. You have raised pf to hit an ace of K. You have achieved your goal, it's a drawy, dangerous board, 2/3rds pot bet please.

In this situation, against this flop, bet it. There's too many unpleasent possibilities here to give away free cards. Don't normally get into a check fest against a scary board. Lead at it and see where it goes from there.
