Betting against draws in Fixed Limit?

How do you guys bet in fixed limit if there are clearly draws on board holding something like top pair or two pair?

Example, you're holding AsKs and the board puts out Ad7c8c. I would be willing to bet that somebody is on one of the draws, maybe both draws are out there. Any bet you make is probably going to be giving good pot odds for the draw. So, do you bet until any club, 4, 5, 6, T, or J comes out, and check/fold? Or do you bet if one of those cards comes out and fold if you get raised? Thoughts?

you got to bet, if there's only and the other player. bet out. cuz catching a flush draw at every turn is only 1/4 so if the other player call you, over the long run, he win 1, you win 3. average it out, you win.
if the turn does bring the scary card, and there only u and the other player, u can check call until the river, you lose the least and still be able to win if that player love to bluff his money away. when there' 2 or 3 more player other than u, i will seriuosly consider the situation, how people bet, raise, etc... then sometimes go for a fold. cuz the turn and river cost 2 big bet. that is alot of money to see flop later on.
good luck !!!

Essentially, in a made hand vs. draw heads up scenario, usually the made hand is making the optimal decision by betting and the draw making the optimal decision by calling.

The latter of these is a consequence of the money already in the pot. The former is a consequence of the made hand's equity, and that the expected return for the made hand for every extra bet that goes in from both players is more than the half he is putting in.

Multi-way (let's say 4-way) this situation changes. Now, a decent draw will have odds to call and will have the largest expected return on any bets if all 4 players stay to contest the hand. You are still almost obliged to bet/raise to an extent with a made hand purely to try and knock people out of the pot and make it shorthanded, so that you are getting a higher expected return on future bets against a draw.

I phrased this all really badly cos I'm a bit braindead at the moment (and I hate limit), but essentially you have to bet in most cases if you feel your hand is the best at the moment.

Check/folding TPTK when one of the draws come in is usually not good in heads-up pots in limit. It makes you so very bluffable.

There are rare multiway pot situations when, because of the combined draws, you'd actually be better off waiting for a safe turn than you are to bet immediatley, but the one you describe is not one of them.

In limit, you can't push people off a (strong) draw with a single bet, because the pot odds will virtually always be there for them to continue. That doesn't make it wrong for you to bet, however.
